Florida was ranked 47th in research as one of the least patriotic states in America, outperforming only three other states.
The personal finance organisation examined the states based on 13 important measures of patriotism to discover which states are home to the most patriotic Americans. The indicators include the proportion of adult citizens who voted in the 2020 presidential election, the average number of military enlistees, and the number of veterans per capita.
According to WalletHub, each of the 13 variables fell into one of two categories: civic involvement or military engagement.
In the “Most Patriotic States” assessment, Florida came in at number 47, just ahead of Rhode Island, New York, and Arkansas. According to the study, “blue” states, or those that lean toward supporting the Democratic party, were, on average, marginally more patriotic than “red” states.
Red states came in at 26.08, while blue states at 24.92.
