Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz announced on Saturday that she will return to Pakistan, along with her father on July 13 (Friday).
She announced it a day after she was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment and Nawaz Sharif to 10 years of imprisonment in the Avenfield reference case.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrest Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz upon their return at the airport, according to media reports.
Moreover, Federal law and information minister Ali Zafar said the government will implement accountability court’s orders and arrest Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz upon their arrival at any airport in Pakistan.
Avenfield case verdict:
Accountability Court on July 6 (Friday) sentenced ten years imprisonment to Nawaz Sharif, seven years to Maryam Nawaz and one year to Capt (R) Safdar. A fine of 8 million pound imposed on Nawaz Sharif and 2 million pound fine imposed on Maryam Nawaz.
Moreover, the Avenfield apartments of the Sharif family shall be seized by the federal government of Pakistan according to the verdict of Avenfield case.
Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz will most likely get arrested upon their return at the airport while NAB arrested Captain (retired) Safdar on July 8 (Sunday).
