Indonesia produce 1,313,540 tons of mango per year and arumanis and Gedong Gincu mangoes are the main variety sold for export. Mangoes are seen as sign of achievement in Indonesia.
Brazil produce 1,188,910 tons of mangoes per year. The height of mango season in Northeastern Brazil is January.The large Palmer mango is most common mango here and it is purple.
